LSN2meBoom916 Posted May 17, 2008 Report Posted May 17, 2008 Well, the ol' hifonics amp was a ginormous let-down, never wanted to act right, and it caused a ton of other random stuff to happen when it was hooked up.. Happens sometimes when you buy used, oh well, on to better things. On the way now is a t10001bd to replace the 1606, and a kinitek hc600 to replace the cap. an extra 20 feet of ground to run up front, a new trim panel and we'll be looking pretty again. Those DC's are going to be very happy little dudes. yea I have had minimal to no luck with Hifonics myself bro.I guess it has gone downhill since the maxxsonics take over. Prolly for the better...esp if u end up w/ t1K. Feel free to post up some more pics/vids of the setup if u can get any, it looks great thus far. pstone11 Posted May 17, 2008 Author Report Posted May 17, 2008 Well, it was a used amp, so I can't place the blame all on hifonics. He ordered up the new amp and wire yesterday. When I get back off of vacation, I'll go ahead and get it all together, shouldn't take but a day to get him rolling again. It's going to be a whole different animal with the new equipment in there... This project is still going on. The owner ran into a couple problems with the car but finally straightened everything out, so the amp should be on it's way shortly, the battery and extra run of 0 is already here. We hooked up an old clarion 400w amp that I had lying around (funny, it's the same size as the hifonics..) at 1 ohm and it got LOUD, moved a good bit of air. It should like the T1000. JMC0415 Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 Hows the rattles in that thing? My mum has a 04 WRX and I just put a single 12 in a sealed box on 300rms and it sounds horrible out side, everything rattles. And the lights dim as well.

He has about 60' of deadner left over that needs to get laid down. I only did the areas around the system itself.. Didn't get paid to mat the whole thing.
