jcnash71 Posted August 15, 2013 Report Posted August 15, 2013 Sup guys, i just had to send back my hifonics brx 1100d brutus cause basically it's a pos and shit the bed on me in 2 months at 2 ohms..anyways any suggestions for an amp that can give me 1200 rms at 1 ohm that's a reputable amp, or one that does 1200 @ 2 ohm and why that would be a better choice?

jarrius Posted August 15, 2013 Report Posted August 15, 2013 What is the impedance of your subs. The reason I'm asking is you can not run at 2ohms and 1ohm from the same set of subs. AI James Posted August 15, 2013 Report Posted August 15, 2013 at 1000 rms id probably look at the sq1200, because its cheap...or find an arc ks1000/ks1200 on the cheap. you've already stated that sundown is to much money for what you want to spend, so i'd look at used options of sundown and other dependable amps, rather then buy some budget friendly POS.

jcnash71 Posted August 15, 2013 Author Report Posted August 15, 2013 I have been using it on lower volume, not blasting it too much for only 2 months. It was wired at 2 ohms and i have the wires and power to support it, and what happened was i was driving and had it on very low volume " 15/35 " and after a few songs the sub just turned off, no protect mode, nothing. I tried everything and the only thing i could notice was the speaker terminal spot wasn't being illuminated anymore, as it was before when it worked. Not sure if that has anything to do with it though
