Joe X Posted August 23, 2013 Report Share Posted August 23, 2013 Ok, redid the calculations and if you didn't do a double baffle, it comes to 4.3 cubic feet gross, taking away displacements it comes to about 3.5 cubes net tuned to about 33.5Hz, 21.75 square inches of port and area ratio of about 9.7:1. It's about their compact suggestion, the difference is that the 4" round ports they suggest would do a better job than the thin port you made, in any case it's a lower efficiency box to start with, "buy me since you can fit me" type of suggestion. The real deal is something along the lines of their high output suggestion but customized to your listening preferences, space, power. etc...
