TeamHT Posted August 23, 2013 Report Share Posted August 23, 2013 Yes. OFC is better. BUT if you calculate your draw properly and wire accordingly, I doubt you would ever see a difference. That's the truth of it. If you need to transfer 600 amps you could use two runs of OFC or three of the CCA. I scored the exact same going from four runs of OFC to eight runs of CCA...I mean EXACT same score, same voltage difference, but at half the cost it took me to wire with OFC. OFC is better than CCA, but if you wire properly I believe the cost is the only difference you'll see.
