Hey guys I've been getting some mixed information about my electrical whether I can run what I have chosen for my audio system. Some people have said it is fine and some people have said you need to upgrade to better equipment or run more batteries. Let me give you some background information on what car it is and what equipment I'll be running. 2013 Honda Accord Coupe V6 HFP. The total RMS of this system is 3100.

Front Speakers: JL Audio C5 3-way 6.5"

Rear Speakers: JL Aduio C5 2-way 6.5"

Speaker Amp: JL Audio 600/4

Subs: 2 12" Sundown X (Might change my mind but there all in the 1000-1250RMS range)

Sub Amp: Sundown SAZ-2500D V.2 or RF T2500BDCP

Now here is the electrical I plan on putting in. Let me know if there is a problem or anything else I can do to make it better.

Alternator: Mechman S Series 240A

Front Battery: XS Power D4800 (I could run the D2400 or D2700 but will require modifying the factory pos and neg terminals)

Rear Battery XS Power XP3000

Big 3 done in all 0 guage

Also a question can I have both batteries hooked up to my alternator so they can both charge or can I only have the front one. If I cant have both hooked up my only option is to get a battery charger?

Car: 2012 Acura TL Elite

Head Unit: JL Audio Fix86

Front Stage : Alpine SPX-17PRO

Rear Stage : Alpine SPR-60C

Component Amp : JL Audio HD 600/4

Sub : 1 12" JL Audio W7

Sub Amp : JL Audio HD 1200

when running multiple batteries all you have to do is run a power wire from either the front battery or a secondary alt charging lead to the rear battery, and ground the rear battery to the frame.... DONE. you dont need a battery charger or anything like that, the alt will charge both.

I would suggest, and obviously, D4800 up front... 1/0 OFC charging lead from the alternator to the front battery, then 2 runs of positive 1/0 to the rear battery, 1/0 OFC from the rear battery to the amp. Same with grounds but alt ground to frame (or front battery), front battery grounded to frame, rear battery grounded to frame.

and make sure when grounding, to either match the amount of wire that the positive side has (2 positive 1/0 runs, so you WILL need 2 1/0 negative runs) or run more that the postive side (2 positive 1/0 runs, 2 or more 1/0 negative runs).

edit: on an aftermarket alt MADE to power huge banks or large electronic draw, you can put 6 batteries on that one alt if need be, hell as many as you can fit.

But will this electrical be enough to power what I am wanting? That is my main concern don't want to have the voltage drop low and blow my equipment.

what you asked in the first question was more of HOW to wire a second battery, seemed like you had no clue. will be enough, yeah, but you will have a good amount of voltage drop most likely, a second D3100 would be ideal IMO.

bump. Still waiting on a answer on whether to run the D3100 over the XP3000. So I will be fine with 2 batteries and what king of voltage numbers will I see?

Run 2 D 3100s and you will be set. 2 in the rear. I have a yellow top optima under my hood and kitneik hc2400 in the back, big 3 in 1/0 charging lead is welding wire but oh we'll I installed a mechman 170amp alt today and my volts drop to 12.6 and I'm running 3.5k. So 2 batteries in the back is a good idea
