Yea man well I'll drop this thread hopefully one of those guys can help you instead of trying to prove me wrong. Like i said not everyone is running high end set ups that can take a beating at lower frequencies so I try to keep that in mind in this forum.

Basically its a generic solution to a complicated problem. People want more bass and manufacturers are trying to give it to them in the safest way possible. When the average person blows their shit up they unfortunately don't think they did anything wrong but that the equipment they bought was shit. You don't need a very high end setup to play below that anymore though. Most of the stuff from Best Buy can handle that these days. It's totally cool that you didn't know though. Not everyone has experience with this kind of stuff because it does get expensive. There is also a LOT of shit gear floating around.

Also you can totally hear lower than 20hz, Its just no longer even with the rest of your hearing, It needs to be quite a few orders of magnitude louder. I have heard setups that do this and they are pretty much specifically made to do that. The time/effort/expense just isn't really worth it. It's basically low rumbling that would never really happen in music. I guess I could understand its use for movies/atmospheric noise though. If it is loud enough it kind of makes you feel sick too.
