Changed my speakers from my HU to an amp in my trunk finally and i noticed a quiet whine while accelerating. it doesnt really get louder when i turn up the volume, but i noticed it after i changed my door speakers to the amp. but i always had the amp plugged into 2 speakers in my trunk. and i never heard it. Is it my ground? Should i get a ground loop isolator?

Oh and i also added an audiotechnix volt meter to my HU wiring. ground and power and remote turn on wire.

Does the whine change in pitch according to the RPM of your engine?

fuck the plating. look at what the main metal used is. you could buy unicorn blood plated terminals but if its just covering up dog shit, whats the point

I'll admit, half way through sanding that fiberglass in the rain and cold while I was all itchy I was definitely starting to question why i was doing this haha

Try this: Ground the sheath of your RCAs to the back of your head unit, and ground your head unit to a good ground.

Also be sure that your RCAs and power wire aren't close to eachother

Theres nothing else to try? an isolator wouldnt help? or maybe moving stuff around?
And my voltage drops to like 12. Never goes higher than like 13v. am i ok? If i turn the car off i definitely hit 10v.

I dont leave it playing with the car off for long.

You could try a pac SNI-1 if you want. But there are different ways to go about fixing this than throwing money/products at it ;)
