2 D2 subs, amp options

Okay, I'm buying a pair of Sundown X12D2s off a member here and my question is, should I just run an amp to each and run at 1 ohm? Or should I try and find an amp that does 2400 wrms at 2 ohms, or run a single amp at .5 ohm (Which I'm kinda nervous of, my electrical is next on my todo list.) Any opinions, suggestions, anything is welcomed. Thanks.

You could do two smaller amps but I'd make sur they're strappable without something like Hifonics with their maxxlink or whatever. I'd prefer a single big amp. But that's just my $0.02

I'm trying to keep costs as minimal as possible right now, so like $400, I'm a poor college kid haha. I'd prefer a single amp, but I don't think I'll be able to run one for a while. Long term plans though are a DC 5k wired to .5 ohm. with that low of a budget look into the .5 ohm stable lanzar opti's, like an opti4001 or an opti3201

Another nice option is the Lanzar Opti line, there 0.5 Ohm stable. How reliable are those Lanzars? Last I heard their equipment wasn't the best. But that OPTI40001D is tempting me.

Since year´s the only trustfull line is the Opti line. But sure i don´t know ba myself what i have to think about them, for the feeling they overrated too.

But i think with the 4 K you could can live with the X series on a 0.5 Ohm. And if you want to wait with 0.5 till your electrical is up, you have a amp.

Well, I really don't see a better option with my price range. I'll probably end up getting the Lanzar.

refurbished sundown amps from db-r are great prices. since it'd be at a .5 ohm you could do an SAZ1500D(v2) and i assume they'd get the right about of power, or a 2500 but thats a little more power and money...not sure if you want to take that step. otherwise, the hifonics brutus (brz, brx) line is a good line, i've ran a brz2400 and currently running a brx2000 and they do a great job especially for the price. i wouldnt be sure about how they handle at .5 ohm though...i think the colossus is 2400 @ 2 ohms, not sure though. not sure how much it costs either....lol check into it though it might be worth it. or AQ/SQ, heard good things about them, dont have experience with em.
