my brothernlaw was telling me that there is a guy that is a teacher at uti that claims he won 1st place in 90-95 with a 50 watt mono block soundstreame amp that he says was putting out 1,000 watts i know his last name is avent but he thinks the first name was steve. does anybody know of this or is it b/s

He could of there are a lot of comps out there back then it was way differnt also amps back then were totaly under rated

So you could jump in a smaller class with a lot of power

50 Watt mono block sounds fishy. I know if he was referring to the Orion 225 HCCA then its 2x25watts @ 4ohms. Drop that bitch down .25ohms bridged and it got up close to 1000 watts. Man thats old school.

yeah he said it was soundstream that was .25ohms i thought it was bs and wanted to know if anyone has heard or it.
