Jessica Posted September 11, 2013 Author Report Share Posted September 11, 2013 So i said i had something new so here it is. It's not anything super special, but its a dual cpu server. It only has single core 2.8ghz xenons in it now, but it has 6GB of ram and 4 250GB drives in a raid array. This is where the minecraft server will be eventually ran. I think it should run the server just fine, considering i am running the server local right now on a quad core 2.4ghz with 4gb of ram while running everything else, lol. Will be nice to push it over onto this machine and now have to worry about if what i am doing is effect server performance. It will probably be a few days before i get it up and running. I need to get a copy of Windows XP and get that installed first. Then i can migrate everything over. I will probably run a 0/1, using two drives striped, and then two sets mirrored. That way if we have a failure we don't lose everything. Any feedback or advice you guys have is appreciated. Thanks for playing! I have no idea, I may roll it back to a 1.6.1 server if it will work with 1.6.2 minecraft. Going to do some testing on that soon. I think the 1.6.2 release has some minor issues. Or it could be me.
