Damn you all I've caught the bug. (Amp Help)

My wife is going to kill me because I can't stop buying/drooling over Jeep parts and now car audio. I want to buy another amp. I don't even really need one but I am doing it anyway....for science. I will probably have to sell something to justify this.

Anyway I usually mess around with old school class A/B amps. I want to see what the new school has to offer. I want something that will do actual 1500w at 4 or 1 ohm. I have no idea what the accuracy of these brands ratings are and you guys do. Preferably at 4 ohm for less power draw and distortion but I guess it depends on what my options are and what kind of money it is going to cost. I know a good amp costs money but I have my limits. The reason I am starting this thread is not to start a vs because I know that is not allowed but because I genuinely do not know much about newer amps/newer amp companies. Just suggest things for me to look at and I can research on my own. I want it to be as clean as possible too. I know I am probably not going to have 0.0X% THD with class D but it would be nice to keep it under 1% if possible. So yeah, I COULD start googling "Good Car Amp Brands" or something, but I am looking for a bit of feedback and a specific set of specifications so I need suggestions. Googling "1500w 4 ohm amp" and such turns up mostly Boss type stuff or max ratings instead of RMS so that hasn't worked either. So far I have looked at:

Rockford Fosgate - I like their constant power technology. Does this actually work?

Sundown - It seems like I can find a better deal on these!

Crescendo - These seem pretty similar to the Sundowns. Are they made by the same people?

Mosconi - WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY too much money + hard to get. Sure would love to own one though!

DC - No one around here sells these unfortunately so these are probably out. I don't want to wait around for something on ebay to pop up. Plus they don't seem to line up with what I am looking for unless the 1.2k is underrated.

American Bass - I am reading mixed things about these, some of the specs seem to be incomplete on some of their amps. Are these more for competition? I think I remember reading one of them was banned in competition for being insanely underrated.

Lanzar - Again reading mixed reviews.

Zapco - These seem hella nice but it looks like they don't have something that matches what I am looking for, I don't want to overpower by that much.

Hifonics - Crazy good deals on these, do they do rated? If they do I might have to do this for price alone.

Linear Power - Again great looking amps they just don't seem to have what I am looking for plus also not available in my area.

Orion - Again, doesn't seem to line up with what I am looking for, is 1500w a weird wattage to be looking for or something? It seems like a lot of brands are going from around 1000 to around 2000 with not much in between unless I do 2ohm which I can't do :(

Is there anything else I should be looking at? So far the Rockfords seem most appealing if that constant power technology does what it says it does but unfortunately the most money. They sure do hold their value in the used market it seems :( The T1500 would do what I want and if I went nuts and got a T2500 and wired to 4 ohm, I would have the ability to do tons more power later when I inevitably decide to get more/different subs. Jesus I am going to have to clear my history, if my wife sees this she is going to be so pissed off haha

Well, what's your budget? That's pretty important lol. I've heard good things about the SoundQubed 2200 though.

Oh yeah I have heard that mentioned on here a few times I forgot about it thanks for reminding me! I'll look into that one. Just looking at the specs though it seems to be quite a bit higher than 1500 watts, is it overrated or something?

My budget isn't fixed, I'll spend what I need to in order to get something good. I have a few things I can sell too. At the same time I don't want to throw more money at it just to throw more money at it. I guess the Rockford T2500 is the most I would spend and they seem to be going for around 800 used. A lot of these amps are like 400-600 though which is a lot nicer haha.

The 2200 is actually very underrated. If I remember correctly, it does 4300 watts into 1 ohm, so running at 4 ohms is a possibility. With a budget like that, It's really coming down to brand name and personal choice. I'd personally say Sundown, DC, Crescendo, Rockford, American Bass, or Zapco. I got my SAZ-1500v3 for $350 from db-r.

I tried googling for some bench tests and didn't find anything. Do you have any links? I really want to get that 1500 watts while at the same time I really don't want to blow up my sub.

no, the 3500.1 does 4300 at 1ohm, 1500 at 4 ohm is going to be expensive compared to 1500 at 1

It seems like its either:

Buy 1500w 1 ohm amp and I can run what I have now = Buy new amp later if I change sub(s)

OR

Buy 1500w 4 ohm amp and I can run what I have now = Buy nothing if I change subs

Option two seems better am I right?

you will be spending over $1000 on a brand new amp that does 1500 at 4 hm
