HyPer LEDs Posted October 2, 2013 Report Posted October 2, 2013 I love how in the description it said the LEDs are 48inches with a 3 meter wire.....pick a unit of measure and stick with it... because lights are made in China while wire made in China. Lol jk, Idk, that is funny. But as pioneer said, for that price, seems like it's worth a shot. It may not work out but may. Just remember, you get what you pay for. I know I bought some LED's for like $13. 4 strips. They were good, except not the right color. I wanted blue and they gave blue with a strong purple hue to it. So coughed up the money for some real ones. Fixed Sponsored by: Kenwood Pioneer Linear Power YWS LoCrew Customs AirRide SMC Viair Series-tuned 6th on 4.8kw @8ohms.
HyPer LEDs Posted October 2, 2013 Report Posted October 2, 2013 Most stuff you see for that cheap, will be chinese and most likely the warranty will be sketchy. The more expensive stuff, like on that website, is the same way, except they make enough profit to cover replacements until the original warranty ends. Actual LED underbody setups, that aren't junky ripoffs, will run ALOT higher. Good underbody kits retail for $1800+, and last you the life of your vehicle. varietyguy Posted October 4, 2013 Author Report Posted October 4, 2013 I dont personally like these solutions as they come stock. Crandis16 Posted October 4, 2013 Report Posted October 4, 2013 With LEDs I wouldn't expect then to put out the smooth color that neon bulbs would put it because the LED bulbs are generally directional unless you can find a way to disperse the light. That being said, they are much more reliable than neons My Red zx2 Build Log My Black zx2 Build Log My Red zx2 UBL

HyPer LEDs Posted October 7, 2013 Report Posted October 7, 2013 With LEDs I wouldn't expect then to put out the smooth color that neon bulbs would put it because the LED bulbs are generally directional unless you can find a way to disperse the light. That being said, they are much more reliable than neons This is true for the majority of the kits available. We're testing designs right now for an underbody kit that mimics the glow effect of neon tubes. We're using an Edge as a test vehicle, and I'll get pics of the glow effect, and tell me what ya'll think of the light output. Hardest thing about LEDs, is making the edge of the light pattern a straight line, versus the wavey edge caused by the varying light output at different angles. Photobucket keeps auto-compressing pics with crappy quality. Sponsored by: Kenwood Pioneer Linear Power YWS LoCrew Customs AirRide SMC Viair Series-tuned 6th on 4.8kw @8ohms.
