You have no idea what you are missing ... my suggestion would be to upgrade your headunit before processing ... Colin - STAPUFT
Good HUs with proper time alignment are getting very affordable too. After messing with the one in my van on the last HU I got, and using the "auto eq and ta" on the 5.1 in my wife's Trailblazer to get things close (did further tweaking from there), it is really amazing what can be done with proper processing. 12 - 12"s in the STAY PUFT 1989 Chevy Astro Build & Comment Log Un-Interrupted Build LogYouTube Channel Chevy Trailblazer 5.1 Dolby Digital DTS Install You have a beard of a mysterious sea captain. Yeah, I was hoping I could get away with just having a couple 30 band eq's but I think I will need T/A. Makes me feel like a picky little bitch sometimes; lol, I should just be satisfied with what I have. Trying to get the best SQ out of your system can be just as bad as chasing them deebeez.' And like spl the changes you have to make to improve it just a little bit cost a fortune. That's the game though right... 2005 Ford Focus zx4 AMT's and Planars 18" Infinite baffle
White Lightning
I know what you mean brother ... The way I have mine time aligned ... I have WAY more "up front" and "up on the dash" bass than ever before ... One day I'd like to get back on a term lab (legal on the dash) and just see if it would be a SPL reading difference ... it is really amazing what can be done with proper processing.Hey ... lets not get too carried away here ... just kidding brother ... hope to get to see you again soon !!! scoobywrx05
Get a t/a deck or if you don't have the cash for that right this second you can do the easy real old school method before anything had t/a and adjust the length of your speaker wires if ya have a bunch of speaker wire laying around. HunterJohnson
Couple things I learned about HU's and time allignment. If you're running a 4 way. High, mid, midbass and sub I'd run the pioneer dex99 For a 3 way system high mid and sub the prs80 is fantastic I really like pioneer so I have stuck with them and their auto EQ does a pretty fantastic job. Wish I had purchased the dex99 tho and a different amp then everything would be perfect Scion tC SQ BuildiPad mini, lots of fabrication, daily drivenFord Explorer C Pillar Wall Build Just a cheap car to destroy with bass
