My friend has a rockford fosgate P3d2 12" sub i believe it pulls 600RMS, and he was wondering what amp he should run to it?

It's dual 2 ohm coils so if that is his only sub he will want an amp that does 600w rms at 1 ohm, or he could get one that does that at 4 ohms but it would be more pricey in most cases.

Yea what he said but make shure to let him know to get a good brand that will actually put its power out. I would suggest a Rockford amp they are not that expensive either

Or a Class A/B amp at 4 ohms, like a Fosgate 5002 or 6002. Bridged, those amps are at 4 ohms and stout power. My lay P5002 birthed out at 729@4 ohms bridged. They are a pretty affordable amp too.

If it were me I'd go with an A/B amp that does the power at 4 ohms. A good 500W A/B class amp is pretty reasonable on price and there are plenty to choose from.
