Haakon
I have a pair of TangBand 3" fullrange drivers on my dash, they are rated 12w RMS and are fed by a amp that puts out 20x that at their 8ohm impedance, and they are run all the way down to 80hz with a 12db slope. Both the midbass drivers and subs bottom out before these even get stressed. Rated power handling and actual power handling is often 2 completely different things Had the same drivers in my old car, with a BLT N2 18" in the back. They kept up fine with that. New owner has 2x DD 3518 SC in the back of that car, and some cheaper TB drivers on the dash. Can easily recommend these. You find them on Parts Express, I have the W3-1878. This being fullrange drivers, the rated power handling is at their stated operating range, this meaning no LP filter at all. If you cross them like a normal mid, and take away the bass, their power handling increases manyfold.
