Miguels Posted October 26, 2013 Report Share Posted October 26, 2013 optimas to me are not good batteries.. i have had bad luck with ALL the ones i owned.. i have a red top on my impala at this moment, a month or 2 ago i was having issues starting my car. i cleaned the posts and tighten them a bit. that helped until this week. i started having trouble starting my car again. after it started it was reading 14.1 volts and as soon as i shut it off it went into 12.10 volts. after sitting over night it reads 11.84 volts. that battery is only a few months old and its paper weight now. i say get rid of it and get an XS power or deka.. in my expo i have 2 kinetics and after not turning my expo on for a few they was at 12.7 which is good for sitting for months.. kinetics are good batteries and i havent had a single issue with them edit: the car is stock with no amps connected or anything that can draw excessive amperage to cause battery or alternator failure my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
