Recommended Posts

The center console is awesome! Those subs are beast! I was thinking of doing something similar but in 18s zv4 motor & soft parts and 18" Ti basket

...think it would work?

Yeah sure, i dont see why not lol

Anyways, time for an update! The plan is to finish this for the crescendo next sunday, the 4th, which means Ive got my work cut out for me. These pictures lead up to how it sits now,

These are the batteries we got from Ram Designs for a steal of a deal. Only downfall is that we had to buy 4 minimum, so we are hoping to only need 2, possibly 3. We will have to test with them, and then sell the rest.

These are 128 lbs each and 190ah. Thats a 2 liter on top for a size reference.

We took the top plexi off to make life easier. We cut new bottom baffles, and checked for fitment. (Everything is getting re-wrapped)

If you remember the gray pieces that were inbetween the subs, we liked them and i put a lot of time into them, but it seemed like they only got attention when they were seen in pics. Im not sure anyone really noticed them in real life lol. So we wanted to do basically the same thing, but with lit plexiglass.

So, i cut a hole in the center so i can attach the rgb leds facing outward.

And a decorative "cap" will go on top to leave the outer 1 inch or so exposed all the way around. It should look cool when im done

20140422_165845_zpsbc63b43f.jpg

This will also be getting rgb leds

Thats where im at now. So working around my 40 hr a week job, i need to:

Rewrap everything

Wire lots of rgb leds

Drill and tap the brace

Countersink screwheads in top plexi

Paint outer 1 inch of top plexi black on the underside to have a cleaner look than before

Fabricate a battery rack in the bed.

Test the system out to see how many batts we need to use.

Wire the ns1 up and install proper cooling fans since its the v1

Assemble the front section of the box, mount and wire the subs,, install front and back of enclosure in truck and join them together.

Cross our fingers that we dont mess anything up, and play it and tune everything, then clean up the truck itself and drive to sarasota

Then a lot of other misc will happen after the show.

Damn man! Love the plexi trim work with the router! Been using some small 1/8th inch plexi and just cutting that stuff sucks because those damn hot boogers that seem to fly off right at my face! Props bro! Big props with all the stuff you've done to make this look sooo clean!

btw....damn those batts look beastly! Interested to see how you do all your connections with the dual inputs...only downfall on those batteries is the how the top posts are sooo close...but purplesyrup had some sweet buss bars made up for his northstars which are similar...I dunno I'll just be quiet and enjoy the show! Great work keep it coming!

Funny how the people who have a louder system than you will usually give you a compliment about your setup because they know how much blood, sweat, time, and money you put into it. The people who criticize or try and one up you....have a p.o.s to no system at all and will tell you all about this "other" guys system! Saddley I'm sure if I meet this "other" guy...he will probably tell me he thinks your just as annoying as I think you are!

I'm not compensating, just proud of fabricating!
