christamez80 Posted October 19, 2013 Report Posted October 19, 2013 Will there be a big difference in sound if I change my deck from a 2 volt preout to a 4 volt preout?
Krakin Posted October 19, 2013 Report Posted October 19, 2013 Sound clarity, and make sure you lower your gains to adjust to it so you don't clip. Krakin's Home Dipole Project http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370 Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist? I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener.
christamez80 Posted October 19, 2013 Author Report Posted October 19, 2013 Yeah I would use the dd-1 to set the gains. Right now I get clipping. Don't really kno how to set frequency on amps. Still tryin to learn. Low pass and sub sonic are about mid ways. I have 2 dc audio 2.0k's strapped and no distortion but clipping light turns on very little when I turn up the knob bout 1/4 the way.
