bgowdy31
Im trying to work with these and figure out how its actually used. Like take the 12volt.com or Precision Port Sounds(PSP) calcs. They ask for the enclosures net volume before i know the aeroport displacement. Are these calcs asking for Internal volume net ""BEFORE DISP""? it may be a noob question but not sure i understand it. 99 HONDA ACCORD EX COUPE1 American Bass HD15-D1 ~ THE PLAN- ? Krakin
Use the net volume (after bracing and sub) when you plug it in. So make the size box you want then determine the port volume, subtract that from the net volume. You then use this number when you plug it in the online calculator. Krakin's Home Dipole Project http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370 Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist? I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener. Joe X
If you are going with nore than one aero you can use Torres calc to get the net volume and then use that on the PSP calc to get the correct tuning.
