Jeremy Meyer Posted October 26, 2013 Report Posted October 26, 2013 So I just got done installing a new system in my 04 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It consists of the following: Kenwood kdc bt555u Rockford fostgate 551s Rockford fostgate 4600x 2 Rockford Fostgate he 12s Stock rear door speakers Memphis audio 6.1 in front doors Memphis audio 2.75 dash speakers I'm working on getting it tuned abd think I have everything pretty closely dialed in as far as my ears can tell but here is my question. I've never really had an aftermarket stereo system before so this is new to me. Is it just my system or do all systems require audio setting changes when switching from sing to sing our album to album? It seems like when I listen to my audio files on shuffle I Ann constantly having to adjust levels to get the perfect sound. By the time I'm done I've missed half the song. It kind of drives me nuts and is dangerous because I'm usually driving while doing all this adjusting.
skittlesRgood Posted October 26, 2013 Report Posted October 26, 2013 oh yeah, every song is different. You can tune your car to sound perfect for one song then it'll sound like crap on another. but you shouldn't be adjusting every time a new song comes on lol. just get it to a good spot and leave it alone. If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood. afrakes Posted October 26, 2013 Report Posted October 26, 2013 Also depends if u listen to many different styles of music. You can get a genre to sound pretty good as a whole, but say you switch from a rap song to a heavy metal song, your system won't be tuned to suit the new instruments and tones played more frequently. Tune to what u listen to the most, and leave it alone. Edit: type o's Vehicle: 2014 GMC Sierra 2500HD WT Head Unit: Pioneer DEH- Mids/Highs: Focal Integration ISC 165’s (front) Subs/Amps: TBD
Jeremy Meyer Posted October 27, 2013 Author Report Posted October 27, 2013 That is the problem right there. I'm a fan of pretty much anything that is produced well so my storage devices hold a very wide range of genres.
Soccerballzs Posted October 27, 2013 Report Posted October 27, 2013 Alot of the older music is produced much better then the new ones. Producers now a days have no clue on quality of music. I have the same problem so welcome to the club. Go JEEP!. They over produce it and then it sounds like shit! http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/garage/vehicle/2438-jeep-commander/I Pioneer P99RSAmpere 38002-Ampere 125/44-6.5 inch Hertz HSK XL Mids4-8 inch JL Audio ZR Midwoofer 2-5.25 Satori Mids2-Morel Tweeters, 2 Hertz Milles 3 inch on A pillars2-Hertz Silk tweeters DC Audio Level 5/12 Skyhigh Wire Mechman 320 XS Power D3100MO Funniest Thread of the Year 2013: http://www.stevemead...dy-being-a-pos/
