Twigz
Hello, im getting my car install done this week, and I told them I need a 300 amp fuse. Is that big enuff for 6000 rms? i'm gonna use a Distribution Block so i'll only be using 1 fuse, for both amps. Quote Fear The Quack! andym85
fuses are for protecting the wire, regardless of the how big the amp is....i think there is a sticky in the electrical section about how big a fuse can be for a certain gauge wire... Twigz
Ok, well I told the shop I need a 300 watt Amp Fuse I guess i'm wrong on that. I'm running 1/0 Wire 25 ft power, and 10 ft is ground. 2007 Chevy Cobalt. No back up batteries yet but am gonna run 2 Kinetic HC 2400. I know theirs a Amp Fuse Kit the fuses i was using before was 80. I looked at the fuse Tutorial thing, and i'm lost. 2 MMATS DHC 1400.2 Modded with a Capacitor. andym85
if ur using 1/0 wire than no bigger than a 325amp fuse...smaller is perfectly fine, but at least have a fuse that is equal to the amps fusing (if the amps are each fused with 125amps then smallest would be 250amp fuse) Quote i likes me some audio stuff...
