Nao
Hey I have a Soundstream xxx 18 (it's a beast.....love it) and I was playing the other day and I start the hear this flapping noise so the thought it was the box so I went to brace it and then I realized the basket has lifted from the motor (the bolts that held it together rattled loose...is there anyway to tighten them back without destroying my perfectly good soft parts
cloud77
still love your sub? this should not happen. Coil has probably rubbed a bit. you can try and get a angled screw driver like an l shape but still you are going to need to glue it and have it nice and tight. This sucks, and why I will never buy Korean made soundstream. 2004 Grand Prix GT (2) 12" RE XXXs (04/05 XBL^2) 5 cu. ft tuned @ 35 Hz MMATS HD4000.05 MMATS SQ4100 Infinity Kappa components Juice Box black cherry Duralast platinum group 34 1/0 KNU OFC, 2/0 welding Singer 250A

pioneerforlife
I have to say I think you will have to tear the cone out. I know it sucks but that's why Soundstream discontinued this sub. too many problems such as this. PSI can make you a great recone for it. I gotta say though you have one hell of a sub. That is my dream sub. its worth fixing for sure. post up some pics though. it can help us get a better idea of the problem. 2007 Ford Focus SES Hatchback Pioneer HU 4 Digital Designs 9515i's in a B pillar. 2 Soundstream XXX 15K's (running at 16 volts) Soundstream Mids/Highs in custom door panels (getting rebuilt soon) Soundstream TA2.160 and TA2.400 Sky High and KNU wiring 3 Banks of Maxwell caps Winston Lithium (not a fan) Bump4Life 250 Amp Alt. aka USAlternators Soundstream Focus and Avenger Build Log Instagram @p4linnovation YouTube: Team Blowin Loud

pioneerforlife
soundstream once was made in USA right? was this sub part of that realm? sadly no. but that doesn't mean its crap. still one of the best subs I have ever heard. and btw I have seen many subs that are made in the US such as FI, DD, and much more fail, and they were close to brand new. his xxx has been around for a long time. 2007 Ford Focus SES Hatchback Pioneer HU 4 Digital Designs 9515i's in a B pillar. 2 Soundstream XXX 15K's (running at 16 volts) Soundstream Mids/Highs in custom door panels (getting rebuilt soon) Soundstream TA2.160 and TA2.400 Sky High and KNU wiring 3 Banks of Maxwell caps Winston Lithium (not a fan) Bump4Life 250 Amp Alt. aka USAlternators Soundstream Focus and Avenger Build Log Instagram @p4linnovation YouTube: Team Blowin Loud
cloud77
might want to make sure that if you recone it, op, that you get a nice bead of glue to the basket and make sure the screws/bolts are tight. 2004 Grand Prix GT (2) 12" RE XXXs (04/05 XBL^2) 5 cu. ft tuned @ 35 Hz MMATS HD4000.05 MMATS SQ4100 Infinity Kappa components Juice Box black cherry Duralast platinum group 34 1/0 KNU OFC, 2/0 welding Singer 250A
