I've talked with nightshade before and he said he actually had a much better result do sub up port to the driver side. Think he said it was about a 1.5db gain. He will give pointers though, he seems to always be willing to help. Ik hopefully have a hx2 12 power series on low power (200 rms) in a slot ported box tuned ti about 35hz. Ported to the driver side sub up. Plan on metering it just to see what such low power will get me.

My real build is going ti be 2 t2d415 on a 2500.1 bdcp (just a1500.1bdcp at first) 2 6"round Ports, sub and port up since it id the only way I can fit it. I'll have a decent electrical. 250 singer amp external voltage regulator and i'm going to use die hard platinum batteries most likely. It will be a right fit to get a battery and 3 amps to fit but I think I've got it figured out.

Hoping for a 147 but it would be great to break a 150. Not going for just spl though more of a musical but loud build. If I eve really just go for numbers I would wall 2 18"s.

singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.

Very nice! This was built to be musical and happen to meter well. This thing sounds great no matter the music. Believe it or not Classical music shakes the hell out of the car. Pipe organs can belt out some low notes.

I stuck my mids and his amp under the passenger seat, nothing would fit with the 5k back there. That thing takes up to much damn room!

Here are the measurements of the box and it is tuned to 35hz I hope they are right it was tough to measure the damn thing in the car everything just fits. lol I have to reinstall the interior around the box to get it in the car.

Box Depth Top 16 1/2 Depth bottom 17 1/4 Width 37 1/2 height 19 1/2

Port depth 13 1/2 height 2 3/4 width 20

1 x 1 top to bottom in the middle

1 x 1 front to back

Fiberglass resin inside

Double baffle

Baltic Birch.

That is a big box lol.

The box for 15s will be 40" long x 19" high x 19" deep with a double baffle.

Had a box for 2 12s that I did double front and back with a double baffle, came out to about 37" wide 18 deep x 19" high with a slot port. Had to slam/force the seat to lock in place. Box want all that great IMO.

had an interstate deep cycle in the trunk and bent the metal plate on the back of the seat in a little with a rubber mallet so that there was room for the Battery.

on a t1500.1bdcp did a 143.4-143.5 iasca style sealed on the dash. Them I did the same score with a single 15 on the same amp sub and port back.

Figure that with my electrical being completely done and 2 15s on the t1500.1bdcpwith the car being fully sound deadened I should be able to get a 145.5-146.5. Then up grading to the t2500.1bdcp I'll hopefully be able to get another DB and be in the 147-148 range.

That's 2 15s right?

It's not a bad score, what freq was it at?

I'm not gonna make it any where with my build fire a while. Got a lot of other things to take care of first. Should be making it somewhere at the beginning of next summer. I have an hx2 I need to build a box for but trying to save money and I just had 3 kids with bdays and x mas around the corner.

It was at 51 Hz I should have done some testing before hand to have a better idea of what I should have done to make it the loudest oh well!

Nice build man...very clean. Make a video!!!

I know, now that school is out ill have more time to make some finally!! Here is a video JP made while he was out here in vegas.

Looks good! I sent you a pm back and think your build has some potential. I love that your electrical is pretty much identical to what I had in my Focus. The only difference is your alt is bigger. The 220 amp that I had was the largest that could fit in the Zx3. I have tons of tips that can get this car loud if you need any help. Also all three of those d3100s will fit in the spare tire well if you want them there. That will open up a bit of room in the hatch for you to play around with.
