got any good pics of hat you welded the plating to? I would assume you welded it to the cross braces?

There is a cross brace that runs side to side just past the b pillar. I took two 1.5" square tubes and welded the front into the inner structure of the ceiling then welded the back to the cross brace.

The new ceiling is actually two pieces of plate, they meet in the middle. They are also forced to take a sort of curve, this makes the plate more ridged and less likely to flex.

i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?

The pic of my mids/highs amps, the wiring is only about 25% complete so don't pay attention to the mess it will all be tidied up when finished.
