loganberry
alot of amps over-rate there subs as i have seen, is there anyway to find out what it really puts out before i buy it? i was looking at quantum audio 4k watt mono, and power acoustik 4k mono.... there not super great, but they will get the job done for what i need.... so here is the question, how do i find out what they really put out, the quantum says 2000w rms at 1 ohm, and the power says 2200w rms at 1 ohm... if there at least accurate then it will be enuf, if not ill have to get 2 amps Quote My F-150 Build GET ON THE BANDWAGON what if they tried messing with the amps when the subs werent louder hahah jk

PaulO2288
only true way is to have it benched. But my power acoustik amps put out a tad over their rms rateing. All of mine and my brothers to be more exact
gotFI?
this is a question for the pro's. and im not one of them. but the amps listed is at 2000 rms @ 1 ohm. that sounds ok till it gets hot. prob not 2000 rms daily. ive find out long ago to just save your money up and get what you really need and want. ive upgraded so much in my day. i ended up with RF T30001BD. love it to death. 3400ish rms DAILY and never gets warm. what im tryin to say is, you get what you pay for. if your going to run some decent SQ subs( dc's) get a decent amp. Jextel
what i do is take the fuses and add them then times them buy 14.4..and you will have the output of the amp..i dont know if im correct but its like im very close to the amps ratings..try it! Example: my hk401sx has 3 40 amp fuses with adds up to 120 then times that by 14.4 which equals 1728..my amp is rated at 1800wrms at .5 ohm Quote http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3042878TEAM DEADLY HERTZ "GET LOUD OR DIE TRYIN"only the loudest will survive.
