JNells
As I said I've switched my primary concern to just getting everything installed, tested, and playing. Then I'll go back thru and make it pretty and more finished looking once the temp warms up and I have more time. Don't judge to harshly, every piece of wood used back there was scrap or had just laying around. Malibu Build Log
JNells
Well the setup in the pics from previous posts was almost a complete disaster... Opened trunk to snow covered amp and distro blocks.. Brushed/wiped it all off and took it all out... Was still coming in thru the air vent, so i scrapped that entire setup and idea, sealed vent off good with wood and foam, and took the "testing setup" in a different direction. Here are a couple preview pics I'm kinda liking this more anyway... Could be a lot easier transition into making it look "finished" Malibu Build Log

JNells
New "testing" amp/wiring setup Not fully wired and organized yet... Doing that isn't too fun in a 10 degree garage. Subs wired up, gonna wire up some LEDS before putting the 2nd one in. Malibu Build Log
JNells
This is the mess I get to organize and route in a freezing hell of a garage lol Malibu Build Log
jcarter1885
I like the amp rack but I would move the mids/highs amp up to the top of the board and make it even instead of slanted. Put crossovers on left side of mids/highs amp going vertical (up and down instead of horizontally). Run distribution block under mids/highs amp vertical and move the subwoofer up a litte on the rack to allow the wire and fuses for the amp to be on the board as well. Sounds bad but the picture in my head makes sense. Looks good either way, I know it feels good to know you're gonna have bass soon. But after the time spent on it, especially being the 2nd time around just to get to this point, I'm gonna forge ahead the way it is. I plan on making it look "finished" in the future (when it warms up) so I'll tweak it then, but for testing and just to get some bump back its good enough for me. Sucks this didn't work out. looks killer Thanks alaskanzx5 I might just do thatI can recone a sub myself. About a year ago I took 2 12" power acoustic mofos and made one sub. I took the magnet and the motor off of one and j b welded it to the other motor and magnet. I had to wind my own voice coil so it would work. After I was done hooked up to 2 boss 5000w amps. And shattered my back and all my side windows came to this thread to recommend soundqubed and ct sounds. OP goes with soundstream. oh lawd.
