Hey guys!

Just ordered 2 Sundown Ev2 12 d4's.

I'll be running them off a Crescendo BC2000D @ 1ohm.

Vehicle is a 1986 Honda CRX.

Anyone want to design me a box? :)

Running them at 1ohm, man thats a little more than twice the power recommended. Not sure how good of a idea that would be.

not 'relying' on it. just a factor you need to take into consideration. like I said I could back the gain off if needed. my alpine h/u only has 2volt preouts too.

I'm well aware of impedence rise and its absolutely ridiculous to rely on it to not smoke entry level woofers being fed far more than they were ever intended to. Especially when one is not even capable of designing their own box. But thank you for the eudcation.

sure I could design a box. heck could use the one on sundowns site recommended for 2 ev2 12s too.

figured id see if anyone wanted to plug in some t/s parameters and design a quality box specificly for a first gen CRX.

ill let yah guys know how the E's perform. yet to smoke a coil in my time and I don't plan on it.

my current sub ive owned for 9 years and the coils still shiny. currently running off the 2k. spiders a softy now though after the years.

4 cubes net work nice, subs up / port(s) back, about 50-55 square inches of port area (could use 3 4" aeros) tune to your preference 32-36 Hz assuming you are going for a daily setup. Watch your power and use the subsonic filter to 28Hz or so.
