if boss amps are shit why do they keep rating there rms so high when they cant even hit close to that?

is there a way for them to get in big trouble and shut down there build for lies?

first they keep rating them so high so that people who have no clue about audio will by them thinking their shit will slam. Number two I don't believe so and number three because your average person who just want a little bump just doesn't have a clue honestly and shops will generally lie and say they are awesome. Smd members are generally a bit extreme and very smart when it comes to audio.

They're shit precisely because they overrate them. If they underrated them, they would be more readily accepted by us audio snobs. :-)

No, because they're not technically lying. The amps will do their rated power but they will only do so by means of square wave. However, we in the know can spread the word far and wide and hopefully reduce their sales.

Because everyone here only constitutes a tiny fraction of the worldwide amplifier marketplace.
