i bought a pair of RE audio 5x7(6x8) and i go to install them and the stock speakers use wiring harnesses(i think you call it) but my speakers are the normal wire kind(im a beginner at audio)

what can i do to make them work? do i have to wire new wire from the stereo through the door, or do i have to get a wire harness and solder it onto the speaker? i dont have a soldering iron tho

you can just cut the wires and connect them positive to positive and negative to negative..

running new wires would be a good idea since the stock ones are way too small..

sometimes Loud is NOT pretty

Sounds like its safe to go ahead and bend that ass over.

2 ways: either tap into the factory wires, just cut the plug off and then terminate the positive and neg. Or you can bypass the factory speaker wiring and run your own speaker wire, what ever size is suitable, most commonly 14-16 gauge. Depends on the car and what size speaker wire you need. I'd just run new wires if it's easier for you.

For the terminals just get some female spade terminals to fit on the pos and neg on the bottom of the speaker.

Use a multimeter on dc voltage to test the polarity (positive or negative)
