Michael Drush Posted December 7, 2013 Report Posted December 7, 2013 Hello, First Post for me and am new to SMD - Building 7.5 K system and would like get into an entry level sound Event. I bought 3 HIFONICS BRX 2000.1 AMPS - I want to know where I can get the Balanced input connector. Also some pin detail would be good, then I could just build my own. Its a 6 pin female connector on the Amp. I need it to convert to RCA - Also if it is to be a truly balance input it would require some phase circuitry components to cross cancel signal noise. (From what I have learned about balanced input the signal is carried on two line 180 degrees out of phase so the noise is either removed or rejected but the signal is much cleaner as an input. Been searching everywhere and I cant understand why Hifonics places a connector on the Amp but has not detailed info as to the hook up or install ???? Zapco offers a Symbilink Option for sale. Would this pin configuration match the Hifonics ? Any response weather I need it or not. I am running about 20ft of signal wire to amps to the chances of noise could be a possibility. All Power on Right side of Vehicle and Audio Signal on Left. Thank You

The Gentlemen Said he got my email Question on this topic. He said he could not answer my question and has forwarded it to the products manager. I find this hilarious as one would think that if an option or hardware was placed on the AMP there would be an simple answer. I went to college and got an AS EE. I have worked 26 yrs performing various electronic repairs over the yrs. I am familiar with the Application of a Comparator circuit in which Two inputs are analyzed and compared side by side and the true output reproduced. This circuitry is used when long cables are used to send data. There probably more but I don't remember and not interested in cracking the old TTL book. So moving on I will hopefully get an update from Hifonics and then relay the info. I am somewhat miffed as I would think that this info should be all over the Internet for cleaner signal and Noise cancellation or rejection. But I guess no one ever gets induced noise in there systems or have the desire to have exact replication of sound...

The serious Builders on this forum might chime in for help, but from what i have seen and read on these forums the last couple years there are some amazing system builds without this problem i am sure.

I have had problems with noise before..a lot of people have but they are usually problems that should be fixed anyways...ground issues or using the wrong inputs etc. For the 40$ or more it is for the BLT I would spend the money on some proper RCA cables from D'Amore that are the correct style for your amplifier. You still have to run RCA cables to the Balanced line transmitter...so if you have some alt whine coming through your head unit or other noise...its going to be picked up by the RCA's transferred to the BLT..then the BLT will transfer the tainted signal to the amp anyway... I don't really see the benefit or justification in extra cost. Just an example of a higher quality manufacturer that doesnt use anything but RCA.
