Brent Anderson Posted December 7, 2013 Report Posted December 7, 2013 since my friends in my area and on this forums saying my box is small i guess i should look into making a new box for the summer. only thing is i have no clue how to make a big box. i have 2 type R's 10's 2 ohm 1000 rms 3000 peak each and i like to place them in there own box. yeah sounds dumb but i like it that way. cost more i know but w/e. anyways is there any sites that can give me ideas on how to do this my self. don't mine working this out now so by summer it will be ready.
Brent Anderson Posted December 7, 2013 Author Report Posted December 7, 2013 my question is when you place your sub in a 1.0 cubic foot box would it not be less since the sub is now it the box? so it be like .8ish in a way?
Nubster Posted December 7, 2013 Report Posted December 7, 2013 Yes. There is displacement from the sub. The Type R is .08Ft^3 I think.
jarrius Posted December 7, 2013 Report Posted December 7, 2013 Also if you port it the box will be even smaller because you need to calculate port displacement to. 2012 Chevy sonic1xSQ HDC3 12 D2RF R1200d 140 square foot of Q-Mat(soon to be installed) 140.2Db sealed on the dash with TL 142 DB sealed on the dash with another meter (was dead on with the TL at a show i was at) 141 on music. strangeduck,on 02 Jan 2014 - 01:39 AM, said: when my car spins out i just put the car in neutral, turn in the direction i want to go and pucker my asshole
