if your gain is at 3/4 then most likely you are distorting.. usually i turn mine up 1/4 of the gain before it starts to distort

Yeah it might be that too, I mean it sounds really clean to the ear

Many are impressed, but I'll mess with my amp and grounds as

Soon as I get my other wiring,

Like I said maybe with the full big 3 might see a difference,

Which I hope

if your dropping to 12 or below (while the engine is running) you're hitting battery and adding additional ones won't do much without a bigger alt to support the current demand

09 Challenger R/T (Audio system under construction):

  • Pioneer AVH-X4500BT (PAC RP4CH11 harness)
  • (2) Sundown Audio SA-8v2 (inverted)
  • CT Sounds AT1400.1D
  • XS Power D3400
  • 40 sq ft. Audiotechnix deadener
  • 1/0 Audiotechnix wiring
  • stock Boston Acoustic 7 speaker amplified system (for now)
  • Sealed trunk enclosure

it might sound good at low level but try it on max volume.. when the gains are set properly it seems that you can keep turning the volume up and just seems to get louder.. when the gains are set high you hit the max soon.. example: if you have the max volume of 35 but at 15 its the loudest it gets and even if you have more to go you just cant seem to get louder.. an amp that is tuned right it will get louder till you hit the max on the head unit

check if you're not clipping.. my brother was dropping to 11v with DC alt and 3 batteries. after i tuned it with the DD-1 it drops to 13.9v at idle

I'll check on that tomorrow, have gain on 3/4

Bass boost no where near max, well nothing is,..

Would be a good idea to invest in a dd1

Was thinking maybe my grounds

how are your gains set?

Head unit gains on bass are at the lowest negative,

"Sub" negative 2

Wow 3/4 gain setting on amp seems way to excessive. And i think most members will agree any bass boost isn't good. On the head unit leave bass flat at zero. On your sub setting, no no no on the negative. Take it to the max to get the most voltage possible. But from what you have said your settings are equaling nothing but distortion.

So you are saying that on my head unit, sub setting turn it all the way up to 6+?
