Rockford96 Posted January 15, 2014 Report Posted January 15, 2014 i just realized you live in Illinois lol. im about an hour drive from southbend. actually met up with someone in southbend that has a walled monte carlo with 2 18" 9500s if I remember right. the thing was crazy loud, tearing his dash apart. he said he has an account on here with a build log but never gets on anymore. im sure with cruise control and 93octane ( if you can stay off the gas while passing lol) then you could beat the 31mpg. south bend is like 4 hours from me lol. im running 91 actually. i haven't calculated the difference between the computer estimates and real life calculations yet. south bends like 20 min from me the shop around here built that guys Monte Carlo My setup, Digital Designs M80 3 Re audio 10's ported tuned to 36 hz Kenwood x-696 SHCA 0 gauge Polk audio coax running off hu
alaskanzx5 Posted January 15, 2014 Report Posted January 15, 2014 yeah, he claims to know the owner. said he picked the stuff and paid for the install. when I talked with him he was saying he is saving up to upgrade his subs. I met up with him just to get a hx2 power 12 off of him. then my daughter pushed the dust cover in a little bit so now its dented. oh well though, I want to recone sometime so when I do im going to fix the dust cover repaint it and reuse it. keep it simple and lightweight, the new power series 500.1 with the new power series 400.4. they both have high level inputs so you don't need rca's and keeps all the control right at the stock hu. run a nice set of 2 or 3 way comps with a single 10 or 12 then just do cheap upgraded speakers for the rear off the deck. line driver for the sub amp if you want could eventualy get a nice eq or processor. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.
