memphis_finest1 Posted March 5, 2008 Report Share Posted March 5, 2008 Well its almost time for me to go and buy a gun or rifle now i talked to the guy at the gun store and he was like they have a pistol thats a quarter of a min of angle For all of you that dont know what a min of angle is its 1 inch for every 100 yards , So say you have a min of angle rifle and you are shooting at 500 yards you could hold a group thats 5 inches . For a pistol its a little diff the max range on a pistol is about 50 yards any way the pistol cost about 1300 and to get a min of angle rifle is about 1500-2k but i dont really need a quarter of min pistol im only going to use it to protect myself , Any suggestions on good hand guns ? Is this for a combat situatation for Kuwait, or for personal use. If this is for going overseas...Make sure you get something that is mil-spec and that the majority of the people over in the combat zone carry (I believe standard issue is either Berretta or 1911). This way if you have a malfunction or need parts or ammo, you can look over at the next guy and get supplies. If you get something that no one else carries, then you are SOL...not cool in combat. It is easier to ask for a loaded mag and toss it in vs a handful of rounds to load your own mag when SHTF. You know probably better than the majority of us here..when SHTF, time is precious. As far as a rifle goes...stick with an AR. Whether you are stateside or overseas, parts are readily available and they are very accurate in the right hands. Keep in mind though, that if this is going overseas...again get something Mil-Spec. I reccomend either Colt or LMT. What kind of handgun was this? I've never heard of a handgun being able to acheive 1/4 moa.
