It's not helping with the problem at hand, and won't until I have one. I'll get one as soon as possible but for now I'm just trying to set my gains. I guess by ear will have to do for now. I plan on getting rid of these woofers anyway, so if I blow them, I guess its not a big deal. Well your only option to set your gain without an o-scope or a dd-1 is to use a multimeter. Using the multimeter method you will have no way of knowing if your distorting or clipping but you can probably get close. Also your woofers won't be the only thing you destroy if your clipping you will fry your amp as well. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
