Little power, still clipping

Hey guys, I'm just trying to fine tune my new amplifier (CT Sounds AT7000.1D)

I can't seems to get any real power out of it without the bass knob saying that it's clipping.

I don't know where to go from here, really.

My head unit (Kenwood KDC-X997) is only turned up to 22/35 with sub-woofer level at 0 and the gains are all at mid.

On the amplifier I have the gain up some, not really sure how much, but it's not a lot. The bass boost (clipping boost) is all the way down, and I haven't messed with subsonic or phase at all. I did my best at setting the L.P.F. at 80hz (give or take).

My bass knob says I'm sitting pretty at 14.6 - 15.4 volts (Playing at idle - not playing at idle).

Anyone have any ideas at where to go from here? I don't have any fancy tools at my disposal, no DD1, CC1, or even a Multi-Meter right now.

Find a shop do DD-1 it, or someone close in your area before you damage something! Yikes.... Nice equipment + Noob = smoke!

Everything sounds decent… Whats your electrical like? What ohm are you wired to on the amp? Where exactly have you set your gains on the "O clock" meter. Im assuming your head unit is 4v pre out? I haven't googled it.

I also have the 7000.1 the clipping indicator is just for "reference" in other words it does not work. Clipping indicators do not see the sine wave so they are never accurate. Also mine pulses while it plays on volume one. pretty much coleman has stated he is looking into fixing the problem.

Set your gains with a DMM + Test tone at desired db level, and just be careful if you do not know what clipping sounds like.

Yes everything sounds fine. I guess I just need to ignore the meter then^

I don't have a DMM at the moment because its over at my sisters house. We are taking out walls and running new electrical.

I don't have the SMD products because I spend all my money on the amps and batteries. haha.

The woofers are wired at 1 ohm. On the O'clock meter I would say gains are set at 11 (they only go from 9-3)

Any clipping indicator can also sense any auto ranging of the amplifier as clipping ..as you turn the volume up the amp will auto range itself and can be sensed as clipping..my question is how can you afford a 7000watt amp and not be able to afford a dd1? The best recommendation any1 can give you is to byy a dd-1..it will be the best investment you have ever made to protect your audio equipment..

You need trunk space to get groceries and shit...bitches love groceries

You spend $1400 on an amp and you couldn't spend $300 for the dd-1/cc-1 combo pack to make sure it's tuned properly because why?

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
