soundstream15 Posted December 22, 2013 Report Posted December 22, 2013 Has anyone sealed up there trunk vent at all? I have a 02 grand am and my trunk leaks a little but on the passenger side. I guess it's a common problem with these cars but wasn't sure if the trunk vent had something to do with it.

Is anytjing clogging the vents or anything like that? I sealed mine in the truck. I do have a crack in my tail light but it wouldn't leak in the trunk just bc the way it mounts in, there's metal and stuff around it. But it's in the corner but it's not like soaked, it's pretty moist tho. That seems to be where the main leak would be. Obv since it's carpet it kinda spreads

herbykw Posted December 23, 2013 Report Posted December 23, 2013 I had a vent in my 02Monte Carlo. When the bass hit you could hear it flutter. I removed it and put deadened over it. Never had a water leak. Wife had an 05 Monte. The trunk would randomly leak and get damp.
