sps1989
Thanks. And it sounds pretty good for just one 8. It won't blow the doors off but will shake the car some. That 15 will be killer in there
CleanSierra
Its a bandpass then? What's the volume of the sealed and of the ported sections? Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
sps1989
Its not a bandpass. Just has a false floor above with plexi to see the sub.
CleanSierra
Well it looks to me that the false floor is sealed around that sub. That would be the same as it performing like a bandpass. The front wave has nowhere to go except into that chamber. Maybe I'm seeing it wrong, but I SEE a square chamber with walls and a plexi cover that the sub is firing into. You might want to reconsider that design, the front wave is firing into that sealed plexiglass chamber Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you. OrionStang
Have you tried it without that "false floor". Bet it gets louder and sounds better. You're blocking the sub LOL. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
sps1989
Its not sealed around it. It sits a few inches above it. The floor isn't air tight. Air flows around the edges. Thats how the customer wanted it. To use the least amount of trunk, sound good and still have space to haul groceries or what not. It probably will sound better without the floor. But it does sound good the way it is...
CleanSierra
I don't know if I'd allow a customer to dictate a part of a build that could drastically affect its performance. You did a great job on the box, the output is certainly affected(and lost)by that plexiglass plate though. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
