But even my speakers from amps are freaking loud at 60, even after setting their gains with the dd1. But hang on, i'm gonna redo all of it right now.
ReaperX Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 I think I know what you mean, N8Ball, I have my speakers hooked directly to my deck head unit, and if I go over 30 it sound like crap, 28 is preety clean! So I guess I should set my gains (on the subs) with volume 28 right?

I didn't watch the video but in order to find an RMS value you first need a peak voltage. Once you have your peak you need to multiply that number by .707 in order to find out the RMS voltage. ModernDayHero07 Posted March 15, 2014 Report Posted March 15, 2014 Ok, I actually kinda forgot to post back after resetting my gains with the dd-1 again. I must have done something wrong the first time, because everything sounds good now and makes sense and everything. I redid my equalizer so that nothing is in the +dB region. Everything is either 0 or -dB and now it sounds better, to me at least. Thanks all!
