jessdabest77 Posted December 27, 2013 Report Posted December 27, 2013 Two AQ HDC3 15's,box=51.75"wide x 24.5"height x 16" depth.I'm trying to tune into the low 30's,but on the torres calculator it's saying my port need's to be like 40 inches long? This is a set up for an ext. cab truck with sub's and port up.So far,I have the port at,14.5" depth x 9.5" wide x 40" long.I don't like them measurements cus it put's my box at 5 cube's,someone please help me tune this box right and low.
CleanSierra Posted December 27, 2013 Report Posted December 27, 2013 AQs don't typically like the tuning in the low 30s, just a little FYI for you And obviously 5 cubes isn't gonna do it for two of those subs. It seems you already know that though. 40" long isn't THAT unreasonable. It goes down into the box like 19.75" and then the port extension goes another 15.5" parallel with the bottom wall of the box. Obviously your internal volume is an issue, but that port length isn't bad( except that it eats up so much volume) Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
jarrius Posted December 27, 2013 Report Posted December 27, 2013 Imo just run 1 sub or re build them to be 12's is pretty much the only option i see other then walling 2012 Chevy sonic1xSQ HDC3 12 D2RF R1200d 140 square foot of Q-Mat(soon to be installed) 140.2Db sealed on the dash with TL 142 DB sealed on the dash with another meter (was dead on with the TL at a show i was at) 141 on music. strangeduck,on 02 Jan 2014 - 01:39 AM, said: when my car spins out i just put the car in neutral, turn in the direction i want to go and pucker my asshole
99blazer Posted December 27, 2013 Report Posted December 27, 2013 9 cubes is recommended for 2 aq hdc315s so its gonna be hard cause after displacements your looking at 6.67 cubes 08 Ford F150

Bass Teen Posted December 28, 2013 Report Posted December 28, 2013 I think sq has partnered with atrend making some boxes specifically for their subs.......Idk if they will work for you but if you just wanna avoid the hassle ....check them out. Car audio .......nuff said lol ... just jokingIm a teenager currently studying law but all i can think about is car audio....
