So I have seen this on many products and I have been under the impression that it means the amp makes the power that it claims. I guess I am just wondering if any one knows how valid this is and also how do they perform these tests? If any one has more detail on what goes into being cea-2006 or if it is legitimate I would be highly interested to hear.

You can just pay to have them approve your product so it doesnt really matter. Jifonics amps are compliant but barely pased Steves test.

So basically companies can pay to have the label on their products box just to make the buyer have a false sense of security in the product doing what its advertised? Its crazy how illegitimate a lot of these audio companies are and how much they take advantage of uninformed buyers.

Doesn't cea 2006 only test at 4ohms? And that's how some amp companies are able to put cea compliant on the box. I could be wrong read it somewhere on here, I don't pay attention it anyways.

funny as hell slow ass typing.

Not to mention they probably have a huge power source for these tests. CEA label is there just to let you know its posibble to get those numbers somehow someway its also an easy way for them to raise the price on it .
