alaskanzx5 Posted December 28, 2013 Report Posted December 28, 2013 ask the manufacturer how much port are and net volume those subs need. look at other thread/builds on the forum that people where using those subs for. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.
Afficionado Posted December 28, 2013 Report Posted December 28, 2013 do you mean port area per foot? If so, that depends on your entire box. If you have any questions relating to nutrition, lifting, or health in general, feel free to give me a PM and I will give you straight forward advice with no BS involved.
alaskanzx5 Posted December 28, 2013 Report Posted December 28, 2013 port per foot is a general rule of thumb and isn't exactly best. that rule of thumb needs to stop being seen as the real way to do it. port area is more so determined by the speakers specs. I would give a link but for some reason Im having issues with paste on my computer google search car audio minimum usable vent diameter calculator. should find a page that has a calculator that uses the subs size and xmax to determine port area and below that on the same page a calculator that helps find the port length needed for the wanted tuning. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.
alaskanzx5 Posted December 28, 2013 Report Posted December 28, 2013 there is more then xmax involved from my understanding but im still learning this stuff. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.
Bass head 4-15s Posted December 28, 2013 Report Posted December 28, 2013 It's 16 inches of port per cube foot find your net size on the box you say your boxe is 9 cube so after port and woofer displacement its 7 cube so,7*16=112 inches of port.
Bass head 4-15s Posted December 28, 2013 Report Posted December 28, 2013 Make your port 16 inches long tune will be about 40hz
Jessica Posted December 28, 2013 Report Posted December 28, 2013 Let's all just throw random numbers out and confuse the op. I'm sure it will work out great. alaskanzx5 Posted December 28, 2013 Report Posted December 28, 2013 lol, im just going to say its as simple as asking the manufacturer the port area they recommend and then figuring length out of your port for the tuning you want. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.
