Also, got a nice little package in the mail yesterday Once my longer rcas and longer 4ga power/ground wire comes i can run everything behind the wall and get the top of the wall put together and fiberglassed. Then its just waiting on the recone for the second sub and this bish will be playing! DylanBunch Posted January 1, 2014 Author Report Posted January 1, 2014 Alright bad news, doesn't look like I'm gonna have the recone for the second sub in time for the show, let alone time to put it in and let it dry I only have 1 functional coil on the sub that needs to reconed so do you guys think it'd be a bad idea to put both subs in and wire 3 coils up for the show? DylanBunch Posted January 19, 2014 Author Report Posted January 19, 2014 weelllllllll she plays.... Not how I want it to be playing but its playing. Not exactly pretty looking either. Basically my slide in ports were too close to the top of the wall so it would hit the top of the wall inside and make a knocking noise so i made a port out of 2x4s just to get it playing for a show im going to tomorrow and the port is tuned to around 54-55 -.- it plays down to 23hz and up to 50hz but the output just isnt there, and then you hit like 55-60hz range and its annoyingly louder than the rest of the bass... and on top of that, each sub only has one working coil. So basically Ill keep everything like it is, maybe find a way to get the port tuning down and just keep saving up to build something big at the B pillar. I already know my plans for that and am very excited but I gotta wait for the money.
