Guarantee you were clipping it bad and dropped that battery to a nonexistent voltage. Your lucky you didn't fry that amp or the sub. Next time just think before you do something. We build battery banks and buy expensive h/o alts for a reason if you could run a 1000 watt amp off something that charges at 10 amps we would all save a shit load of money Edit- also the gain is not a magic volume knob. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
