Tikmafia Posted January 4, 2014 Report Posted January 4, 2014 Whats up guys i recently got my 1966 chevy and im wanting to put a sound system in it but im not really sure what to do do you guys have any ideas? (Also im going to move the gas tank out from behind the seat)

MrBigs63' Posted January 4, 2014 Report Posted January 4, 2014 I would go with a pair of Sundown SD-2 10s behind the seat ported. Run them on a nice 1000-1500watt @ 1ohm amp. I'm not sure what your door panels are like, but I would try to go with some type of 6.5. If you don't want to modify any panels look around for a set of custom kick panels. Also, if you still want to keep the original look it is very simple to move the head unit to the glove box. That will give you a sleek original design with modern equipment.

truthsayer Posted January 4, 2014 Report Posted January 4, 2014 I bought my first vehichle in 1980 and it was a 1965 chevy stepside. Worst mistake i ever made was selling that truck. Since ther are no door panels, you will probably have to fab up some wood ones. Does your truck have the granny gear and a 285 straight six? truthsayer
