GM was fully aware of the problem and there are plenty of companies that repair gauge cluster assemblies and also sell the parts to do it yourself. Changing the LEDS wasn't a bad project at all, I'm sure the stepper motor replacement isn't terribly difficult either. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
