My dilemma is my max dimensions are 48" wide 23" deep 20" tall. And to add injury to insult 82.5 total port area available. if anyone has some input on this let me know. truthsayer
Well i'm no box expert, but i'm jealous of you having 4 xfl's. I had one 12 a few years back and wich i had never gotten rid of it. Not a 100% sure but i think my box after all displacements was about 2.2cu. And those things dont really start to shine till you put about 1200rms or more to each. with the right box and power your gonna love them subs. Some box building expert should chime in shortly. Good luck brother. truthsayer
zayres29
2:1 ratio ported to sealed start tuning in the high 40s and shrink it till you get the response you want Btw that was the first person. Also do you think i have enough port area. I think I could stretch it to 100sg inches. https://photos.google.com/photo/AF1QipP7rjav9cD9UFdAYBJmz4M4LoNlF26ng1xhAf4Uhttps://photos.google.com/photo/AF1QipP7rjav9cD9UFdAYBJmz4M4LoNlF26ng1xhAf4U 2013 DODGE CHALLENGER R/T SUNDOWN ZV4-18 CRESCENDO 3.5K PIONEER AVIC 5300 NEX ALPINE TYPE R 6.5S & 6X9'S ROCKFORD FOSGATE 1.5" TWEETS 5 C&D TECH BATTS
zayres29
whatever the subs call for sealed multiply by 4 then take that volume multiply by 2 and thats your ported dont forget to account for subs and bracing depending on how you mount the subs if they are in the ported partition or the sealed Btw that was the first person. detroitdb
I couldn't get a straight answer from a/b, do you think I would be safe doing 1 cube sealed per woofer and should I isolate each woofer? https://photos.google.com/photo/AF1QipP7rjav9cD9UFdAYBJmz4M4LoNlF26ng1xhAf4Uhttps://photos.google.com/photo/AF1QipP7rjav9cD9UFdAYBJmz4M4LoNlF26ng1xhAf4U 2013 DODGE CHALLENGER R/T SUNDOWN ZV4-18 CRESCENDO 3.5K PIONEER AVIC 5300 NEX ALPINE TYPE R 6.5S & 6X9'S ROCKFORD FOSGATE 1.5" TWEETS 5 C&D TECH BATTS
zayres29
common chamber is fine... if you isolate each woofer your box will be much bigger do between .6 and .75 sealed 1 cube is more on the size for a 12 Btw that was the first person.
