ChrispyShimp
Andrew Greene is selling a BNIB Sundown X-10 for $250 Many thanks man, but I'm having trouble shelling out 170 for the HATs. 250 is not bad for a sub like that but I'll have to pass. I'd need three of them anyway, lol. Thanks again. Knowledge is the greatest tool in any garage. It's also the most priceless, and most easily shared. Smoove
An hour later, round two a third hand, so useful the results are in... Whilst waiting for the stuff to cure, I took a closer look at the T100z3 and found a puzzling issue. The weird thing is the amp still works, both channels play strong, the RCA solder joints are kinda iffy tho. How does this amp still work with this kind of damage, and what should I do? I'm totally horrible at soldering, and I want to use this amp, but it's damaged. What do I do? Smoove you have some advice, your a RF guy, know how to fix this? I love my RF, but I leave amp repair to the professionals. I have 4 amps I still have to get repaired. 5 channel Alpine with one channel blown 2 Team Fi 15's v1 2 DD M5's 970amps of Alt 6th order blowthroughThe truck Blowthrough build : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/155555-smooves-1996-chevy-ext-cab-c1500-slow-build/The 350z build : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/170694-smooves-2003-nissan-350z/ My FB page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Smooves-Car-Audio-and-performance/719746144805343 Team Fi Audio http://www.ficaraudio.com/
ChrispyShimp
Okay I'm going to hold off on the HATs, they only have either a tiny 4" or the 5x7, neither of which will fit my b pillars very well. So I'm looking at more of a drop in set. So either the Rockford Fosgate Punch P1 4x6 2 (54 bucks) or the JBL GTO 6428 (Also 54) Going by the websites specs the GTO has more lower range and 2 ohms, plus 3 db higher sensitivity. I'm going to run these off the HU and I'm not sure which one to go with. Here's links to the website. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_19560_Rockford-Fosgate-Punch-P1462.html http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_17733_JBL-GTO6428.html I will be deadening and polyfilling the b pillars for better midbass, I want the most SQ I can get. ChrispyShimp
Finally a good update for you guys, I ordered an 18, and am trying to get everything ready for when it gets here. I have to remove the bench, bolt in a 3 part seat, build the box, and find another place for the way oversized amp I have. (yes the Power Acoustik is still running strong, Kinda pleased really) And here's an unedited video (again) using my Gopro to catch all the wiggles.
