Joe X Posted January 26, 2014 Report Share Posted January 26, 2014 You can run the amp at 1 ohm temporarily taking care of a few things: subsonic filter set at 32Hz, bass boost at 0dB, NO bass knob, tone controls defeated, no loudness or other bass boosting settings on the head unit, at least use a lesser method to set your gains. Then use a voltage gauge connected to the amp input power terminals and monitor the voltage to stay above 13V at all times and don't play your audio with the vehicle turned off. That amp won't put out rated power but it could still damage a weaker stock electrical so check it's in good condition and do a big 3 and a battery upgrade if possible and regardless of your gain settings.
