Rich Schenk Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 So I'm on the way to work at 5 something in the morning and all sudden my trans starts slipping really bad like it doesn't want to shift gears and rpms start going up high. So I pull the car over for a couple minutes. Then start going again and then. Car won't accelerate over 35 and rpms almost start red lining. So I pull car over and now car won't go into any gear and transfluid everywhere. Yeah! So called aaa and had car towed to trans shop so now waiting to see what happens. Not a good day. zayres29 Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 i know exactly how you feel cause i went through the same thing with my 'lude i just bought the car and didnt even have it for a month and the trans blew i sold the car for $400 after trading a $4000 tahoe for it i got ass raped i was without a car for a while till i was able to save for a POS pickup and i just recently (a little over a year ago) got rid of that for the car i have now i had to walk to work in the snow for 3 months before i was able to afford something else Btw that was the first person. zayres29 Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 i try to be positive if my trans wouldnt have blown i would have never built one of the best sounding systems i ever had (the one in my truck) because i would have never gotten the truck if my car never fucked up i miss that truck to this day even though it was probably the second biggest POS ive ever owned i just moved on the bigger and better things Btw that was the first person. Devil Reject Posted January 25, 2014 Report Posted January 25, 2014 My son had a 99 tiburon with an auto and the tranny went out on that. After searching for a transmission every where we ended up junking the car cuz it was more money than what it was worth. If it's a stick you might have better luck. Hopefully.
